In the design for this product, we wanted to honor the country of origin. We searched the archives for colorful and indicative stamps that showed the best Colombia was known for.

When we began considering an update to our branding and packaging, we looked at where things had started to naturally evolve over the last few years in our merchandise and special edition blends.

Our goal with the design of the bags was to tell the Dean’s Beans story in a more comprehensive, accessible, and artful way. From a messaging standpoint, we wanted to highlight the many ways that this company is doing sustainability differently than competitors.

My coffee is organic and I am an advocate for environmental protection and conservation. I wanted my coffee packaging to reflect the species of animals that live in the coffee farms.

The design embodies our core value, "Love Local," by combining elements of design by local Dallas artist, Will Heron, onto the can of our locally brewed and canned coffee, named after the surrounding Kiestwood neighborhood.
