We wanted customers to experience and live those afternoons, of good coffee and good friends.

MudPenny was looking for a new strategy that harmonized the premium quality of their specialty coffee with an elevated packaging design.


They're bold, they're convenient, and they're totally hitting the spot for millennials and Gen Z.

Our design was inspired by my father’s wood engravings from when he was an active artist in the ‘70s and ‘80s. East Alstead Roasting Co. is in a small town in rural New Hampshire, located in the house my family grew up in, and we started the business in large part to bring great specialty coffee to this region of the country.

Coffein is a portmanteau of coffee, caffeine, and coffin. It brings you handcrafted, specialty coffee with a dark, gothic aesthetic to match your wicked taste

Somewhere along the way, we realized coffee told an incredible story of stewardship and relationship, that farmers in coffee-growing regions have been caring for seeds and soil for generations. We saw an opportunity to mindfully enter a relationship with the Earth and those who tend it in a new way.

To name a few, the "bubble letters" pay homage to hip-hop culture, which deeply influenced several individuals within the company and continues to hold a special place in their hearts.

As Pirates, we love to find and share unique treasures with The Crew. To showcase the excellent competition-level Panama Geisha coffee produced by our Panamanian partners, Abu Coffee and Hacienda La Esmeralda, we decided to present the coffees as a treasure box.

The design aimed to revolutionize coffee packaging by merging functionality with thoughtful aesthetics, offering a distinctive alternative in form and material.

Inspired by vintage Jazz albums, these bag designs recall the shape, size, and aesthetic feel of a 7" record.

With our packaging design, we aimed to break away from the pervasive minimalism dominating the market, drawing instead upon the raw, vibrant essence of the 90 acres of untouched forest we are committed to protecting in Nicaragua.
