Nascentes is a brand that has a big message: it stands for women in coffee. Nascentes is a project introduced by Sancoffee (a specialty coffee cooperative in Brazil) that unites female producers in the region Campo das Vertentes, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The name "Nascentes" means in Portuguese “where something starts”. Some of these women are only starting their journey in coffee or have a small production in the industry where the majority of the players are male. The idea behind building this brand is to visualise a strong sense of identity with the community, to emphasise the strength these women have together, the beauty in diversity and the power given to them by nature. Inspired by the region's rivers which meet to form important watersheds, these women came together to grow further and make a name in the coffee industry. And this brand came into being to deliver the message about this new beginning to the world.
