As De Mello coffee's head designer, my main task seems to convey the taste of coffee through many different forms of visual arts. These artistic challenges can be particularly challenging, and "Sakura" was one of them. The name of the coffee was taken from the Japanese Cherry Blossom, which celebrates new beginnings and the delicate beauty of life.

When we were conceptualizing our coffee blend and its design, we wanted to approach it as fun and creative and create something that would embody the spirit of spring. Something delicate, gentle, and easy to enjoy with a touch of fruitiness that would tickle your palate. For those tired of waiting for the long Canadian winter to end, we wanted to present them with a sip and a sight of spring.

Besides our quality coffee, our customers usually come to our coffee shops because of our fun and creative brand concept, such as this project. Also, it's clever and friendly, which helped us gain recognition.
