The main problem we identified with our old packaging, and with a lot of coffee packaging on the market, was how much of an conceptual barrier was created for specialty coffee novices by the packaging itself.

We wanted to create packaging that reflected the rich heritage of Hawaii’s landscape without relying on trite clichés (think tiki torches and Hawaiian flowers).

Our goal in redesigning the brand and packaging was to retain the quirky essence of the existing brand while creating a better shopping experience.
