UC Davis Coffee Center
We designed the bags to evoke the classic imagery and spirit of UC Davis, featuring the landmarks, scenes, and animals that make up campus life. Combining classic, lineless illustration with the everyday beauty of the UC Davis campus, the coffee bags connect with the Aggie community, staff, alumni, and students alike. The principal design inspiration for the bags came from the iconic National Park posters of the 1930s and 1940s. The nostalgic lineless illustrations and limited color palettes of the posters inspired the look of the coffee bags. We pulled in UC Davis’ beloved vintage London buses, Shields Library, bikes, cows, and many other university icons.
The UC Davis Coffee Center is proudly a part of the greenest university in North America, and we celebrate Aggie sustainability in our designs.
The central motifs of biking and our iconic buses are key components of campus transportation sustainability, and Aggie Bold features the Arboretum, the heart of natural beauty and sustainability projects on campus.
We were sure to include the use of reusable coffee containers, including our cow’s travel cup. Sustainable Aggie culture, environment, and lifestyle animate our designs.
