The design of Trefoil Coffee, Matcha & Art Space was inspired by nature, with the philosophy that all things ultimately return to the earth. This idea guided our choice of materials and the creation of a space that feels both organic and sustainable. The design also incorporates Japanese modern aesthetics, reflecting the owner's deep love for Japan, which holds a special place in their heart due to their travels and experiences there. The clean lines, simplicity, and balance found in Japanese design are key influences in this space. Our goal was to create more than just a café; it was to offer an immersive environment where guests could experience both exceptional coffee, matcha, and the art of hospitality. The design thoughtfully integrates natural materials such as banana paper, wood, and marble, bringing warmth, elegance, and texture to the space. These materials, combined with a minimalist yet inviting atmosphere, foster relaxation and interaction, while also honoring sustainability. Through this blend of modernity and nature, we aimed to create a space that celebrates craftsmanship and sustainability while offering a culturally rich, community-focused experience. It is a place where visitors can enjoy not only the flavors of coffee and matcha but also a sensory journey that reflects the beauty of nature and the elegance of Japanese design.
