Terranova Coffee Co. had been family-owned and operating in Sacramento since 2010, but the brand had reached a point where it felt tired and overdue for a meaningful refresh.

The existing packaging did not fully reflect the quality of what was inside: 100% Certified Organic specialty coffee, ethically sourced and hand crafted each week on an 80-year-old roaster.

We wanted the redesign to elevate the brand, build awareness, command more attention on shelf, and more truthfully communicate who Terranova is.

Just as importantly, we wanted to create a packaging system that could grow with the company across bags, labels, and boxed formats while giving the brand the care and presence it deserved.

The sustainability message is intentionally woven into the design rather than treated as a small secondary claim.

The recyclable bag material, the organic green color, the coffee plant illustration, and the clear references to organic whole bean coffee all work together to communicate Terranova’s values quickly and naturally.

Even before reading details, the package is meant to signal an organic, environmentally conscious product.
