Sträva’s brand centers on the idea of coffee as fuel for exploration—what the company calls “Fuel Your Wander.” Inspired by Colorado’s outdoor culture, the packaging references the graphic language of national and state park signage. Typography, color, and framing echo familiar park wayfinding systems, creating an immediate association with landscape, travel, and discovery.
The simplified logo was designed to work clearly within this system, allowing the packaging to carry the narrative through bold, utilitarian cues. Alongside traditional roasted blends, Sträva also produces CBD-infused coffees, reflecting a philosophy of balance and restoration for people who approach coffee as part of an active lifestyle.
Metallics are used to reflect the feeling of Wandering and Discovery or even the magic of nature from sunrises to sunsets and finding that moment of calm.
While the design emphasizes exploration and adventure, responsible sourcing remains a core part of Sträva’s philosophy. The coffee is produced with specialty-grade beans sourced from partners who prioritize environmental stewardship and fair labor practices.
This approach aligns with Sträva’s broader commitment to craft and quality. By selecting responsibly sourced ingredients and working with trusted producers, the brand aims to ensure that the coffee reflects care not only in flavor, but also in how it is grown and brought to market.
The packaging uses flat-bottom bags to ensure a strong, stable presence on shelf. The material was selected for its ability to reproduce subtle color gradations, allowing the bright white substrate to showcase the fine details and nuances of the design.
