Two core principles of the Moccamaster brand drove the design of the KM5 Grinder box - sustainability and a legacy of form and function. Our goal was to create packaging that reflected these principles while also addressing how consumers would interact with the product. The box needed to meet the needs of both retail and e-commerce consumers, providing in-store consumers with relevant information to make an informed purchase, while also being sturdy and suitable for shipping to those purchasing online. A minimalist design approach was taken, incorporating clean lines and providing a perfect mix of complexity and simplicity that enhances the overall user experience. We have created a holistic experience of sustainability across product and packaging. 98% of the packaging is recyclable, uncoated Kraft paper, while the product within is built to last a lifetime using high-quality, sustainable components. This packaging reflects the brand's principles and aligns with current consumer preferences and industry trends toward sustainability and eco-friendliness.
