The architecture of Hedge Coffee Roastery and Cafe synthesizes regional materiality, industrial spatial typology, and biophilic elements into a cohesive interior environment.
Through the use of redwood, restrained coloration, and furniture-scale spatial partitions, the design transforms a warehouse shell into a warm, craft-focused space that simultaneously highlights production, social interaction, and the natural origins of coffee.
The project’s sustainable message lies in a quieter architectural approach: working with existing structures, prioritizing durable natural materials, and integrating elements of nature into the interior environment.
Through these strategies, the design frames sustainability as both an ecological and experiential value, shaping how visitors perceive the relationship between coffee, craft, and the natural world.
