We designed our café to be a place where great coffee, thoughtful hospitality, and a warm, inviting atmosphere come together seamlessly. Function came first—every design choice supports the flow of service and enhances the experience for both our team and guests. But form matters, too. We blended industrial and organic elements to create a space that feels light, lively, and welcoming year-round. Wood brings warmth, plants add life and texture, and a palette of greens—both in paint and plant life—ties the space back to the DOMA brand.
Our design choices were shaped by DOMA’s character—raw, natural, and intentional. We took inspiration from industrial-meets-organic aesthetics, balancing exposed ductwork, metal, and wood with softer, more organic elements like greenery and natural light. Every detail was intentional, including the absence of visible power outlets to encourage face-to-face connection. The café’s location along a major biking and walking trail influenced our approach, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and community. We also collaborated with a local tattoo artist to create phoenix murals—a nod to rebirth, renewal, and transformation. More than anything, we wanted to create a space that feels good to be in, whether you're catching up with a friend, settling in with a book, or just pausing for a great cup of coffee.
