Wonderstate Coffee
Our goal with this new packaging was to elevate our single origin program, differentiating these higher end offerings from our blend program.
We focused on true sustainability (no plastics, polys, or PLAs), marrying the lack of plastic with the need for dense, light roasted coffees to “breathe” in simple packaging.
The design is meant to be subtle, so as to let the producer’s name, and hard work, stand out.
We are happy to have our brand take a backseat to the folks putting the majority of the work into producing the coffee inside.
We focused on reusability, recyclability, and minimizing the use of plastic. On recyclability, there is nearly no plastic involved in the production of either form.
These are 100% curbside paper recyclable. The bag has no meaningful interior barrier, no valve, and no zipper. The tube is constructed entirely of paper.
On reusability, we included a branded copper clip to replace the plastic zipper, which we find highly reusable after its role in keeping the bag closed while enjoying the coffee.
The tubes, being structurally sound, can also be repurposed if not recycled.
