The Squeaky Mission Bag was designed to extend packaging beyond the moment of purchase and transform it into a functional object used in everyday life.
Rather than creating a disposable carrier bag, the goal was to design a reusable bag that baristas, coffee professionals, and enthusiasts would continue using long after leaving the café or coffee event. With a large capacity of 45 × 40 cm and a 15 cm gusset, the bag is intentionally sized to carry multiple coffee products, brewing tools, or daily items in a single bag.
The visual language of the bag is inspired by the brand philosophy of Squeaky: exploration and experimentation in coffee. The illustrated astronauts represent curiosity, innovation, and the willingness to go beyond conventional boundaries in coffee equipment design. Each astronaut interacts with tools and objects that reference the different products developed by the brand.
The metallic material and bold color variations (gold, silver, blue, and pink) were chosen to create a distinctive visual presence while also making the bag recognizable as part of the Squeaky universe.
By combining reusable packaging, storytelling graphics, and practical everyday functionality, the Squeaky Mission Bag aims to turn a simple shopping bag into a long-lasting design object that continues to communicate the brand’s spirit of exploration.
The bag is designed as reusable packaging rather than disposable packaging. Its durable spunbond material allows the bag to be used repeatedly for carrying coffee tools, groceries, or everyday items.
Because the bag replaces single-use plastic bags, it helps reduce disposable waste. Spunbond fabric can also gradually degrade over time under natural environmental conditions, making it a more environmentally responsible alternative compared with conventional plastic bags.
By extending the lifecycle of packaging through reuse, the design promotes a more sustainable approach to coffee packaging.
