With this Advent Calendar design, our goal was to create a unique, sustainable, and premium holiday experience that aligns with our brand identity. We wanted to move beyond traditional festive packaging and instead offer a modern, thoughtfully designed piece that evokes holiday joy while maintaining a minimal environmental footprint. A few key objectives guided our approach: Sustainability – Prioritizing recyclable materials and a compact, low-waste structure to reduce our environmental impact.
Brand Alignment – Moving away from the typical red and green Christmas aesthetic in favor of our brand’s signature color palette, while still evoking festive warmth through textures and subtle details. Memorable Unboxing – Ensuring that each interaction with the packaging brings a sense of anticipation and delight, enhancing the Advent experience. In terms of references, we drew inspiration from modern minimalist design, Scandinavian aesthetics, and high-end gift packaging.
Clean lines, refined typography, and subtle metallic accents helped create a balance between elegance and seasonal festivity. Additionally, we looked at architectural and structural packaging designs to develop an efficient yet visually compelling form. Ultimately, we set out to craft an Advent Calendar that feels both timeless and innovative, offering an elevated holiday experience that remains true to our sustainability values.
