Oxfam Fair Trade is committed to social, environmental, and economic sustainability. That is why it buys directly and only from coffee cooperatives under fair trade conditions. It has also decided to go entirely for aluminium-free packaging. For Oxfam Fair Trade, the direct link with the coffee farmer is central and it continues to support the cooperatives to improve their situation.

We wanted to put the farmer and the human story behind the product at the center of the packaging. For example, the woman on this packaging is a farmer in the Kivu region of Congo. The Congolese cooperatives we work with have set up women's programs and are thus improving the position of women on their own. A long haul, but step by step we can support gender equality in the coffee world. With the high-quality packaging, we also hope to convey the high quality of the highland blend, which is based on coffees from the Latin American and African highlands, produced using organic production methods.
