ONO is a visionary concept brought to life by a team of exceptional specialists came together, including Shaun Liew, the two-time Malaysia Brewers Cup Champion of 2017 and 2019, Kent Wong, the head roaster, and Syun Hattori, the founder of Niko Neko/Matcha, renowned for their artisanal Matcha from Japan. Together, they have created a space unlike any other in the world, serving Specialty Coffee and Specialty Matcha under one roof with a solid tagline: 'When Two Worlds Collide'.
ONO's concept is not just reflected in the drinks they serve, but also in the carefully crafted design of their space. The iconic island bar is the centerpiece of the space, featuring individual counters for coffee and matcha. The coffee bar is constructed with rich, brown marble, while the matcha bar features forest green marble, creating a striking contrast that embodies the collision of two worlds.
The rest of the interior is kept minimal, with a focus on just a few key elements: oak wood furniture, stucco-textured off-white walls, rusted signs, and subtle hairline brass accents. This minimalist approach allows the bar counters to stand out, becoming the defining feature of ONO. The result is an iconic and memorable experience for customers, a testament to the team's commitment to creating a space that embodies their vision; ‘When Two Worlds Collide’. ONO Specialty Coffee and Matcha is the embodiment of a bold and innovative vision, brought to life by a team of passionate specialists of different worlds.
