Hacea Coffee Source is a small family business with decades of professional experience across the specialty coffee industry. They connect with passionate roasters to foster their development collaboratively. Coffee runs in their blood! In August 2020, talks with their friend at PlayStead Design evolved naturally to help develop and launch a system that strategically highlights their fresh ideas in authentic and mature ways. This package is Hacea’s introduction to the specialty coffee community. It presents them as passionate coffee professionals here for the long haul.

Their choice of fully compostable packaging is yet another indication of longevity and answers the all-important question, “is it designed to minimize waste?” Expanding on the formative influence of their logomark – an organic symbol defined by three calculated strokes that represent the producer, roaster, and importer connection in perpetuity – core elements like the brand’s angle help develop the structure in bold new ways that emphasize the most important information for their community immediately. A focused yet intense color palette honors their producer partners by showcasing their culture and origin when paired with the text and visual treatments.
