What did you want to achieve with the design? We aimed to create a modern, disruptive design that breaks away from traditional coffee packaging. Instead of brown and green tones, we chose pure, vibrant colors to evoke excitement and exploration—just like our cold brew takes you on a journey with every sip. The window on the can acts as a portal to a desired destination, reinforcing our brand’s essence of aspiration and adventure. The 269ml size was also chosen as the ideal format for RTD cold brew, balancing convenience and premium appeal. Were there any specific references that informed the design? Our biggest inspiration came from childhood creativity—specifically how colorful clay starts bright and pure but eventually blends into brown, just like coffee. This concept led us to use bold, unblended colors that represent innovation while still connecting to coffee’s rich tradition. Additionally, our custom typography was hand-drawn, inspired by the shape of the can’s opening tab, making it truly unique. The DB logo (Deseado Brewing) is also based on this tab, reinforcing our identity through subtle yet meaningful design details.
