The name Alma means “soul” in Spanish and that is exactly what we wanted our coffee packaging to exude. Our family has been in coffee farming in Honduras for over 5 generations. 5 years ago, we embarked on a journey to go one step further and bring our very own coffee directly to the consumer. Our packaging is the visual representation of our story and our coffee’s journey. Inspired by our origins, we decided to modernize traditional Honduran iconography on our packaging. The vibrant blue background that wraps around the majority of the exterior was inspired by the flag of Honduras. The 3 birds symbolically represent our 3 key pillars: improving lives, sustainable practices, and extraordinary coffee. Visually, the macaws are the national bird of Honduras while the barn owl is symbolic of our generational farming roots. The back of our packaging includes our farmer’s commitment. This is our testament to a sustainable supply chain in every single step of the process from our farms to your cup. Our coffee labels are individually hand-designed to visually and accurately describe the coffee contained within the package. Incorporating the visual color markers from the Coffee Taster’s Flavor Wheel, each color represents a tasting note of the coffee found inside
